History of the name: Cool Hearts Muay Thai

The name Cool Hearts came from Rigel’s original Kru (Muay Thai instructor), who constantly reminded him: “Jai Yen, Jai Yen” which literally translates to “Cool Heart”. It means to fight with composure and control. This Thai concept extends beyond fighting and into daily life. The idea of maintaining a cool heart has became a cornerstone of Kru Rigel Balsamico’s fighting style and personal outlook. The Cool Heart philosophy is not to be dispassionate but rather to maintain a professional calm despite one’s passions, never letting it cloud your judgment.

Kru Rigel Balsamico has devoted his life to spreading his love of Muay Thai. As the Kru (head instructor) of Cool Hearts, he has tirelessly promoted the sport all over the world by training some of today’s most respected fighters while at the same time making Muay Thai accessible to the average person. The Cool Hearts philosophy has always been that Muay Thai is for life, not just for fighting. In other words, whatever you intend to get from Muay Thai, Cool Hearts is here to help you achieve it.
