,i just wanted to take a few minutes of the students time. some know and some dont know that this week(4/18-22)i actually did a somewhat of a muay thai camp training regimen with kru.The reason i did that is 1st of all when me and shane went to thailand to train i thought the stuff i was being taught was different then we do in the cool hearts(holding your hands and your stance etc,,,)when i mentioned that to kru he was aware of it because of different styles of muay thai in thailand eastern/western so it made sense so i went with the flow,i still learned alot but it seems like when i came back i somewhat had to correct myself again,so this year i was thinking about going back to train again in thailand then i more or less thought about asking kru about doing a somewhat camp/training session at 1st he was shocked and didnt know what to say or really believe me what i was asking(BUT NOT TO SOUND GAY OR A LICK=LICK i really thought he thought he wasnt up to it or that he was put on the spot but if the man ever put his mind to it he might just be able to make a career out of this muay thai)like kru had said to me he never did anything like that so he was a little excited/and i guess weary also of doing it.But i just wanted the students to know really that this was the most exciting and also nerveracking week of my training so far.within the 1st hour of “camp”i learned some much about my hands and stance that if i would of left there and then i was ahead of the game of what i accomplished so far but it was just starting to get better it was such a great experience that if you have the opportunity to just do a 2 hr session w/kru(also with j)you could learn so much in such little time. in a similar situation its like getting tips on your golf game from tiger woods or body building tips from arnold swatzernegger?????.And by the way i didnt get beat up the whole time no actually we only really sparred the last day but we trained hard but only as hard as i really could but he knew that so it wasnt just a meat head “camp” it was worth it .So if i see around the gym dont hestitate to ask me about it.I really have a new perpective of muay thai and i hoping it shows as always good thoughts(thanks kru)
